About Arlington Stadium
Arlington Stadium was originally built in 1965 as a minor league ballpark before being expanded into the Rangers' first Texas home when the Washington Senators relocated there in 1972. Its lack of any real shade or roof made it one of the hottest ballparks in the majors during Texas summers.
