Colt Stadium

Colt Stadium was a temporary, open-air ballpark that hosted Houston's first three major league seasons from 1962 to 1964, while the Astrodome was being built next door. Its brutal humidity and mosquito swarms were part of the reason the franchise pushed so hard for an indoor, air-conditioned successor.
