About Shea Stadium

Shea Stadium was the Mets' home from 1964 until Citi Field opened in 2009, and it briefly hosted the Yankees too while the original Yankee Stadium was being renovated in the mid-1970s. It's also remembered for the Beatles' landmark 1965 concert, one of the first major stadium shows in music history.
