A user earlier today asked this great question .... "2026 Teams -- When will they be available?"
We expect the 2026 season to be added sometime between late 2026 (Dec) and early 2027 (early Feb.), depending on when the source data is released.
We use the Lahman database for historical player and team data, and Retrosheet for the actual schedules. Lahman’s recent release timing has varied quite a bit in the last few years: the 2022 season was added in February 2023, 2023 in April 2024, 2024 in July 2025, and 2025 was released much faster on January 2, 2026.
SABR now maintains the Lahman database, so based on the most recent release We're hopeful the 2026 data will be available in early 2027. Once both the Lahman and Retrosheet data are available, we'll get the 2026 season added as soon as we can.
