Manual Entry

Good morning, Is it possible to consider a manual entry option in the future to use as a board game companion? I had mentioned in passing in a FB post as well. SOM, Gamepulse, ActionPC, & Digital Diamond are a few games that I believe have that option. Would anyone else here be interested in this feature? It’s great to still play C&D, but have the computer keep stats and also autoplay games we don’t have time to play. Thanks for a great game.

Thanks, RJ. I understand the appeal, especially for people who still enjoy playing C&D games but would like the computer to handle the bookkeeping.
At this point, though, I see ActionSims primarily as a game engine for playing and simulating historical baseball rather than as a companion/stat-entry system for games played elsewhere. A full manual-entry feature would take quite a bit of work because we would need to account for individual plays, substitutions, pitching changes, baserunning, errors, and all the other details necessary to keep the statistics accurate.
I don't want to rule it out completely, especially if there turns out to be a lot of interest in it, but for now our development time is going toward improving the actual gameplay, historical replays, leagues, and related features.
