Hmm good question ... like create a set of players and then how would you expect to use them? I think if I knew that, I could figure it out if it was do-able or not.

I don't want to create a player that doesn't already exist. I want to create a fantasy team by moving players from existing seasons to a fantasy team in a fantasy league. I am in two leagues: one uses the Hall of Fame players, and the other creates teams of the “best” players for a season for a given franchise, such as the Yankees or Cardinals.

Just to make sure I'm capturing it correctly ... is this the gist of it?

Let a user build a custom team by picking individual players, each from whichever season of their career had their best (or a chosen) year, rather than picking a whole real team-year as-is. Example: a fantasy Yankees roster with 1927 Babe Ruth, 1961 Roger Maris, and 1998 David Cone, or an all-Hall-of-Fame roster mixing legends from completely different eras.
