Team Colours

Started by MV (joined · 7 posts · 16 karma) , ago

Hi Harlin,

Not sure how difficult it is, two additions I would love to see.

1) Team colours on player labels. (Mets Blue with Orange Trim).
2) Add a Pitcher Icon lefty and righty, such as the batters to use. Optional or hide and make the icons for batter slightly smaller, it a nice touch but they are large.

Thank you, MV.

Hi MV,

For these items:

1) Do you mean player labels as the ones that are on the field? or lineups or elsewhere maybe?
2) For the batter, by default, they don't show. So, you can click the small panel where it says hidden (this will make it show). See attached screenshot.

Also, can you please send a screenshot of how you say the batter icons are too large?

For each of the things you mentioned (with more info on these from you), I can make an enhancement request for them.

Anything else, just let us know.

Hi Harlin, thanks for the swift reply.

1) Player text on the field: at the moment, they are in a black rectangular box with light blue trim, or some variation of that. E.g., J.Varitek in the example is blue for catcher, red for team colour, and white text or variations of this. Maybe we get an option to edit this to any colours we want. So if I see all positions in the field, I would like to see them in their team colours. Line-up colours are ok for now.

2) For batters, it is ok for them to be hidden or not. What I am saying is the L/Rm batting silhouettes could be a size or two smaller, and also an L/R icon added for the pitcher again to be turned off or on. This is not a big deal but could be nice. I like to see if batter is lefty is righty, pitcher too. Thanks MV!

Harlin, I have noticed that my first request has already been done, I ran 1979 Phillies vs 1979 Yankees and it was perfect. The icon thing is not a big thing but would be nice to have the option. Maybe it would crowd the screen though.

replying to @MV

We would have to think on this one a bit more. We don't want to add too many options and make it too complex for most users. But I have seen instances where I thought the batter silhouettes were too large (and in some cases too small). I personally don't use them since there's almost always a batter on the ballpark image (real or AI generated), so I turn them off and honestly if they felt too out of place for a particular ballpark, I would just keep them off on that one.
