1) Do you mean player labels as the ones that are on the field? or lineups or elsewhere maybe? 2) For the batter, by default, they don't show. So, you can click the small panel where it says hidden (this will make it show). See attached screenshot.
Also, can you please send a screenshot of how you say the batter icons are too large?
